About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at NT Cash Carry. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our building and its surroundings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Regularly sweep, mop, and scrub hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent litter and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained appearance.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to the building.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The role requires bending, crouching, and kneeling to perform tasks.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in a maintenance or repair role is an asset.
  • Work Schedule: The role requires working 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Language: The primary language of work is English.
