About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at CHAIMS PRO INC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Industrial Equipment: Safely operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by washing windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with minimal supervision, and be able to work independently with a high level of autonomy.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Healthcare institution, facility, or clinic.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and work term is permanent.
