Position Overview:

We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Work Control Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring effective management and oversight of maintenance and system activities related to daily operations and outages. Lead the development and execution of the assigned Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), addressing any scheduling conflicts that may arise.
  • Strategically plan, organize, and monitor all preparatory and ongoing tasks associated with the work schedule. Ensure that all involved teams are dedicated to completing their assigned tasks while prioritizing safety for both the public and workers.
  • Directly manage and resolve any coordination challenges between groups or departments. Provide clear guidance to all teams, including contractors, during meetings related to the assigned WBS.
  • Facilitate daily status meetings to maintain control over the work plan and schedule. Approve new work proposals and ensure all necessary preparations are completed prior to execution.
  • Monitor ongoing work to ensure it aligns with the established schedule and report status updates to management consistently.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess accomplishments, challenges, and recommend improvements.
  • Actively engage in the Corrective Action and Self-Assessment processes, ensuring timely resolution of assigned tasks.
  • Develop comprehensive, resource-loaded schedules for the respective WBS using appropriate scheduling tools.
  • Identify and document any changes in project scope and ensure mandatory tasks are incorporated into the schedule.
  • Optimize equipment availability and reliability by effectively balancing online and outage activities.
  • Perform risk assessments related to online and outage operations, addressing various safety and operational risks.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A solid understanding of control, mechanical, or civil technology, along with foundational knowledge in physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, electrical theory, instrumentation, mechanics, nuclear theory, and mathematics is essential. This knowledge is typically acquired through secondary education followed by specialized study in a relevant field.

Experience:

  • Practical experience in a multi-unit nuclear facility is required to gain familiarity with systems, equipment, and processes essential for energy production and maintenance. A comprehensive understanding of operational policies, safety procedures, and health standards is crucial for achieving optimal resource performance.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience is necessary to effectively manage and coordinate work processes, ensuring sound project management and communication skills are applied to meet objectives.
