Job Summary

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Events and Recreation Coordinator to join our team in Gold River, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing daily events and recreation activities for children, collaborating with other program staff to ensure the health and well-being of the children, and guiding and demonstrating activities throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Assist with the planning and execution of daily events and recreation activities for the children, including the planning of Community holiday events.
  • Activity Facilitation: Facilitate activities for the children, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other program staff to ensure the health and well-being of the children, and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document observations on the children and complete any reports where required.
  • Equipment and Supply Management: Ensure equipment and supplies are clean, maintained, and stored in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Program Coordination: Coordinate physical spaces, program leaders, and materials required for programs and events.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Post-secondary education in human/social service coursework or equivalent in a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of working experience in the area of recreation/activity programming is a must.
  • Certifications: RCMP clearance, within the last 12 months, in addition to a Vulnerable Sector check, is also a must.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong connections to the children, ability to come up with creative activities to support their development, experience with and an understanding of the importance of client confidentiality, strong administrative skills, excellent verbal communication skills, ability to work well in team settings, take initiative, and prioritize tasks.
