- Work Environment: The role is situated in a fast-paced setting that may be noisy and involve exposure to various odours and heat.
- Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 3-4 individuals involved in food preparation and service.
- Training: Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Estimate and manage the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food and service adhere to established quality control standards.
- Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Tray Assembly: Supervise and verify the assembly of food trays for service.
- Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
The position requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling, often under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
