About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Dami Sushi Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our chef de cuisine to develop new sushi recipes and menus that showcase our restaurant's unique flavor profiles.
  • Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook sushi dishes, including rolls, sashimi, and nigiri, to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient ordering and minimize waste.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff on sushi preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a sushi kitchen
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
