Job Summary

Saskatoon Co-operative Association Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance and Administrative Coordinator to join their Finance Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and financial services to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and audit sales transactions, including cashups and supplier invoices.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including general ledger accounts and interdepartmental transfers.
  • Assist in the budgeting process and provide financial analysis and reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits, as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including patronage membership and equity ledgers.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance Department, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with staff and supervisors to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Grade XII or equivalent.
  • Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalents).
  • Completion of SIAST Accounting Certificate or equivalent would be considered an asset.
  • One year of accounting-related experience, including data entry.
  • Extensive experience with Office, specifically Outlook and Excel 1 & 2.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The ability to work mornings and afternoons is a requirement.
