As a key member of the Federated Co-operatives Limited team, the Finance Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and audit sales cashups to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Process supplier invoices, statements, and prepare correspondence to maintain strong relationships with our suppliers.
  • Process and audit interdepartmental transfers to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Complete gross margin calculations to inform business decisions.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assist in the budget process as required to ensure financial planning and forecasting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required to maintain compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist with the preparation of period-end and year-end financial statements to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain patronage membership and equity ledgers to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Assist with maintaining petroleum records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in by-weekly payroll administration as required to ensure timely and accurate payment.
  • Work effectively with staff, supervisors, and customers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Grade XII
  • Courses Required: Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalents)
  • Completion of SIAST Accounting Certificate or equivalent would be considered an asset
  • One year of accounting-related experience (including data entry)
  • Extensive experience with Office, specifically Outlook and Excel 1 & 2
  • Ability to work mornings and afternoons
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
