Job Summary

Masters Insurance Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Account Manager to join our team. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and growing personal insurance book of business, working with clients to understand their insurance needs and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Remarketing
    • Solicit new business sales through proactive outreach and lead generation
    • Prepare and complete applications, endorsements, binders, and invoicing using industry-standard software
    • Gather underwriting information, such as ordering MVR's, Autoplus, Hits, and Ezitv
    • Perform quotation transactions and provide competitive quotes to clients
    • Recommend additional coverages and pursue cross-selling/up-selling opportunities
    • Meet with clients to deliver and review insurance policies
    • Analyze and review premium comparison reports with clients
  • Renewals
    • Perform annual renewal reviews and risk exposure analysis of policies
    • Provide competitive quotes to clients and process insurance policy changes, renewals, and cancellations
    • Communicate and confirm coverages to clients
    • Maintain control of renewal expiration lists, binders, audits, and aged receivables
  • Customer Service
    • Formulate and foster strong working relationships with clients and insurance company underwriters
    • Respond to client inquiries, company requests, and insurance company representatives
    • Provide clients with detailed explanations on insurance products and services
    • Advise clients regarding insurance coverage(s) and risk management issues
    • Prepare proof of insurance (binders and endorsements) for financing and lease companies
    • Process insurance policy changes and cancellations
  • Agency Management / File System
    • Update and maintain electronic client files and ensure all required documentation and activities are recorded
    • Perform other related duties and special projects, as required
    Requirements
    • RIBO License
    • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a personal lines department at an Insurance Brokerage in a similar role with similar duties and responsibilities
    • Understanding of personal lines underwriting and coverages
    • Knowledge of uploading and processing new business and policy changes to company portals Aviva, Intact, Northbridge, Economical / Definity, and Travelers is preferred
    • In the process of completing CAIB, CIP, and/or CRM designations
    • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Completed CAIB, CIP, and/or CRM designations
    • Familiarity with The Agency Manager (TAM)

    • Self-motivation with ability to problem-solve with limited supervision
    • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member
    • Willingness to mentor and train colleagues when required
    • Accurate data entry skills with extra attention to detail and overall accuracy
