Job Description

**Middleware Administrator Role**

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Middleware Administrator to join our team. As a Middleware Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our SharePoint 2019 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain SharePoint 2019 environment
  • Perform system administration and configuration tasks for implementations and support
  • Install, maintain, and document middleware applications
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Ensure system backups and apply patches, service packs, and security updates

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience deploying and administering MS SharePoint farms
  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing SharePoint servers
  • Experience upgrading and migrating SP 2013 to 2016 or 2019
  • Full understanding of setting and editing permissions
  • Maintaining system backups
  • Applying patches, service packs, and security updates
  • 3 years of experience in problem determination and resolving middleware technical support issues
  • Windows operating system and hardware knowledge
  • Knowledge of networking, including creating firewalls, security zones, and encryption
  • Experience with Internet Information Server (IIS)
  • Experience with a Microsoft SQL Server
  • Working with middleware integration technologies

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Deploying and administering Liferay DXP
  • Familiarity with Java application servers (Websphere and Tomcat)
  • Demonstrated success in systems administration or application delivery roles
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing Operational Support guides for Middleware
  • Experience with Dynatrace monitoring and alerting tools (especially building Dashboards)
  • Experience in version control tools (PVCS, SVN, or CVS)
  • Experience with IPswitch MoveIT
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects 4.2 and above
  • Familiarity with Java development and technologies such as JSPs and Servlets
  • Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts
  • A good understanding of network principles such as load balancing, firewalls, etc.
