The Mechanical Discipline Expert position at Parker Drilling performs a wide range of tasks and duties related to mechanical equipment maintenance, including installation, repair, and maintenance of engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical devices. The position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment on the platform.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, including lubrication, inspection, and replacement of parts as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and failures, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with the Rig Superintendent and Maintenance Lead to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Rig Superintendent or Maintenance Lead.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical equipment maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to comprehend, remember, and follow verbal and written directions.
The Mechanical Discipline Expert will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment, tools, and materials. The position requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in adverse weather conditions. The position also requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
