Position Overview:
A Staff Neonatologist role is currently open within the Department of Paediatric Medicine at Sinai Health System.

About the Department:
The Department is renowned for its excellence in neonatal care, education, and research, closely collaborating with Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It provides both primary and specialized tertiary care for newborns, including advanced services for infants with congenital conditions and cardiac issues. The Department is part of a Fellowship Training Program in Neonatology, accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, in collaboration with esteemed institutions.

Essential Qualifications:

Mandatory:

  • Proficiency in English is required, along with an MD, MBBS, or equivalent, and certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or comparable credentials.
  • A minimum of two years of specialized training in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine is necessary.
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is required.
  • Must qualify for an academic position at the University of Toronto.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated interest in community pediatrics and outreach initiatives.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Exceptional clinical and educational abilities, with a strong capacity to lead a multidisciplinary team in managing high-risk newborns.
  • A commitment to enhancing clinical care, education, quality improvement, and a scholarly focus that fosters academic growth within the School of Medicine.

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, including additional benefits, vacation pay, and academic allowances.
