Role Description

A part-time position for a Staff Neonatologist is available within the Department of Paediatric Medicine. This role is integral to our mission of providing high-quality neonatal care.

Our Department is renowned for its excellence in neonatal clinical practice, education, and research, closely collaborating with obstetrics to deliver comprehensive care. We provide both primary and specialized tertiary services for newborns, including advanced care for those with congenital conditions.

As a successful candidate, you will possess outstanding clinical and educational skills, demonstrating proficiency in leading multidisciplinary teams focused on high-risk newborn care. A commitment to enhancing clinical practices, education, and quality improvement is essential, along with a scholarly approach that supports academic growth.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, hold an MD, MBBS, or equivalent, and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. A minimum of two years of subspecialty training in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine is required, along with eligibility for licensure with the appropriate regulatory body.

Academic appointment eligibility at the University of Toronto is also necessary, with rank and compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include vacation pay and academic allowances.
