We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical analysis, project management, and business process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.
- Work with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
- Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.
- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
- Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Support one or more highly complex business processes.
- Work on multiple projects as a project team member.
- Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Perform health checks after releases to ensure functionalities have been deployed correctly.
- 8+ years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably with at least 3-5 recent experience working within a large highly matrixed complex financial institution.
- Demonstrated experience having worked on a large project with a budget of over $5 million, with competing priorities with multiple stakeholders.
- 3+ years' experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Suite.
- Experience working within an Agile framework.
- Salesforce experience – experience with sub-features of Salesforce a strong asset.
- Development experience – to have a technical mindset in translating requirements.
- Project management skills - in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to solve technical problems/processes and understand complex details.
- Ability to increase operating efficiency with high-quality technical solutions.
- A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
- Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred.
MBA or other related advanced degree an asset.
Agile/CSM certification an asset.
Salesforce certification an asset.
