Waste Management Driver

Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes, ensuring a clean and safe vehicle and adhering to Occupational Health & Safety and Ministry of Transportation requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Operate vehicle in accordance with company expectations and local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
- Cover shifts as needed for trash, recycling, and compost, communicating with Route Manager and Dispatch as required.
- Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings, and work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies.
- Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage, and communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
- Position containers on customer properties in an upright position, ensuring lids are properly replaced and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Hold a current DZ or Class 3 license or higher with an air-brake endorsement, and have an acceptable driving record.
