MANAGER / DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, EV REGULATIONS

Role Responsibilities

You will be an essential member of the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC) within the Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC is dedicated to promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by leading the establishment and enforcement of regulations governing EV charging infrastructure in Singapore.

Your primary responsibility will involve developing regulatory policies and frameworks that guarantee the safe and dependable delivery of EV charging services.

Additionally, you will assist in the execution of regulations as stipulated in the Electric Vehicles Charging Act (EVCA), which includes overseeing the licensing process for EV charging operators.

Collaboration with various stakeholders will be crucial to ensure compliance with licensing conditions, and you will be tasked with taking necessary actions in cases of non-compliance.

Your contributions will be vital in achieving objectives related to safety, operational efficiency, and fostering a business-friendly environment.


Candidate Profile

  • Possess tertiary qualifications in any field.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Exhibit strong writing and presentation abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Have experience in regulatory enforcement or operational roles, particularly in licensing or the regulation of prohibited products.
  • Demonstrate the capability to convert regulatory requirements into operational necessities and suggest efficient use of enforcement resources.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting, engaging with various stakeholders including businesses and government entities.
  • A keen interest and foundational knowledge in electrical systems and EV charging technologies will be advantageous.
