About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cardiology team as we launch new and innovative products to the Electrophysiology (EP) market, one of the fastest-growing areas in medical technology. Boston Scientific is on the cusp of several key product launches in the U.S. to treat patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib), including Cryo, Radiofrequency, and Pulsed Field ablation therapies.

We offer technologies such as 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, EP recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths for diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain advanced clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, EP mapping and recording systems, transeptal access technologies, and left atrial appendage occlusion technologies.
  2. Attend procedures in cardiac CV/EP labs of hospital accounts for clinical support and development efforts of BSC AF Solutions products, including Rhythmia HDx mapping system, LabSystem Pro recording system, transeptal access products, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, and WATCHMAN LAAC technologies.
  3. Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of AF Solutions products by creating and delivering presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms.
  4. Meet with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate and train them on how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
  5. Develop relationships with hospital personnel at all levels, including staff, physicians, and administrators, to make new contacts in other departments within the hospital and to identify key decision makers.
  6. Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions.
  7. Demonstrate effective change leadership and build strategic partnerships to better the area/organization by leveraging relationships with peers and management.
  8. Implement and monitor strategies outlined by the quarterly plan of action for the area.
  9. Coordinate territory and other BSC sales management and representatives' efforts to build strategic partnerships that will further area and organizational objectives.
  10. Develop relationships with key referring physicians and other key physicians to promote market development and growth.
  11. Train on and maintain knowledge of clinical trial protocols, Clinical Department standard operating procedures, and compliance toward the regulations of world-wide regulatory bodies.
  12. Manage clinical trial activity within the assigned territory, which includes but is not limited to completing Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
  13. Educate clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols, clinical process, and investigational products and features.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must demonstrate a technical aptitude and ability to discuss and explain complex technical product information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification.
  • Work experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping/Structural Heart Procedure.
  • Existing usage of 3D cardiac mapping system.
  • MS or advanced degree in business or healthcare.
