About Us:

Wayfair seeks a seasoned product manager to spearhead the strategy and roadmap for our Marketing Technology (Martech) Bidding and Decisioning platforms. These platforms leverage vast amounts of first and third-party data alongside advanced machine learning techniques to optimize various aspects of our marketing efforts, significantly influencing substantial advertising expenditures. This role encompasses managing spend, optimizing content, segmenting audiences, and structuring campaigns across leading digital advertising platforms.

In collaboration with marketing, data science, and engineering teams, this product manager will concentrate on crafting scalable decision-making frameworks that integrate smoothly with our comprehensive Martech ecosystem, thereby maximizing the effectiveness of Wayfair's advertising investments. Additionally, the role involves researching market trends in Martech and AI/ML to identify innovative solutions that can be integrated into our offerings, ensuring our platforms remain ahead of the curve. This position offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to make a significant impact on revenue generation while working closely with various business, technology, and data science teams in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product strategy and roadmap for Wayfair's Martech Bidding and Decisioning systems.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and data science teams to develop decision-making solutions that enhance marketing ROI and improve customer experiences.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the digital marketing landscape; leverage this knowledge to identify opportunities and translate them into actionable requirements for data science and engineering.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in AI and machine learning; work with data science to implement and scale innovative ML methodologies.
  • Partner with engineering and data science to ensure the development of scalable and adaptable technological solutions that support advanced ML capabilities.
  • Work closely with fellow product managers to integrate decision-making processes within the broader Martech ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor and publisher partners, keeping abreast of their feature releases and incorporating them into Wayfair's product strategy.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify and apply new technologies and ML strategies to enhance Wayfair's decision-making framework.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership across technology and marketing, translating complex technical language into accessible communications for diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B software/SaaS product management or closely related roles in Martech or Data Science.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing technologies and platforms, with a strong interest in the digital marketing sector.
  • Experience with digital marketing decision-making processes and/or machine learning systems.
  • Adept at structuring problems, formulating clear problem statements, and prioritizing tasks based on business insights and data analysis.
  • Proficient in analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and data science teams, effectively prioritizing backlogs and providing contextual insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, ensuring teams are consistently informed about platform strategies and progress.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear product requirement documents and user stories.
