Job Summary:

Torus Talent is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team. As an Instrumentation and Control Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex control systems for heavy industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer instrumentation and control systems for heavy industries, including oil and gas, pulp and paper, and industrial processes.
  • Develop and implement control system architectures, including PLC, DCS, and advanced control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other plant systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive instrument documentation and purchase technical specifications.
  • Participate in HAZOP, P&ID, and 3D model reviews, SIL development, and vendor drawing review.
  • Lead commissioning and pre-commissioning efforts, including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
  • Develop and implement cable schedules and wiring details.
  • Design control system block diagrams and control system architecture drawings.
  • Develop control panel and junction layouts and designs.
  • Participate in PLC and DCS programming and graphics development.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
  • Commissioning and pre-commissioning leadership experience.
  • Heavy industry engineering experience required (oil and gas, pulp and paper, or other industrial processes).
  • Proficient in software tools, including MS Access, Excel, Visio, Project, Word, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations.
