The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Systems Specialist to join our team at our state-of-the-art Waste to Energy facility in Courtice, Ontario.

This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area, following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, VFDs, control valves, and process control transmitters.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, utilizing expertise in electrical and instrumentation principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, install, and commission new equipment and systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repair, preferably in a industrial setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by formal technical training or apprenticeship.
  • Possession of an Ontario Industrial Electrical certification is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of process automation and control principles, as well as CEMs (Continuous Emission Monitoring) systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, public officials, and regulatory agency officers.
