Team Leader, Mental Health Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Mental Health and Addiction Services team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. Reporting to the Manager, the Team Leader will coordinate and supervise the operation of community-based mental health and addiction services programs, providing comprehensive services to clients and their families with mental health disorders across the lifespan.
The Team Leader will ensure and oversee the provision of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, liaise with local inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and agencies, and promote consistency and continuity of patient care. They will also provide clinical supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team, including new clinicians and those with little experience in this specialty.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, be licensed with the applicable body, and have three years of experience in Mental Health and Addiction intervention. They will be able to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensure all clinical staff provide effective and evidence-based treatment modalities, and identify areas for service improvement and facilitate and evaluate quality initiatives.
The Team Leader will also provide leadership to the team in areas such as client-centered decision making, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
About You- Master's degree in Social Work
- Licensed with applicable body
- Three years' experience in Mental Health and Addiction intervention
- Provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Ensures all clinical staff provide effective and evidence-based treatment modalities
- Identifies areas for service improvement and facilitates and evaluates quality initiatives
- Provides leadership to the team in areas such as client-centered decision making, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution

- Long Assignment Full-Time (100%)/ 75 Hours biweekly
- Approximately 15 months, dates are approximate and subject to change
- Travel to various sites may be required
$51.73 hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
