Mental Health and Addictions Leadership Position

The Assistant Manager, Mental Health and Addictions, is a key member of the Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) leadership team. This role is responsible for advancing priorities of the portfolio by supporting the ongoing development and implementation of assigned MHA program services and initiatives. The Assistant Manager works closely with other members of the MHA leadership team to implement multiple MHA projects/initiatives to support the advancement of patient-centered, community-based mental health and addiction care programs and services within the Zone of Nova Scotia Health.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field, be eligible for registration with a relevant health or professional discipline/college or association, and possess 3-5 years of recent and related progressive leadership experience. Experience in Mental Health and Addictions is an asset. The successful candidate will have strong working knowledge of mental health/addictions care delivery systems in hospital and community settings, as well as strong project management, community development, and community engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of MHA program services and initiatives
- Work collaboratively with the MHA leadership team to implement multiple MHA projects/initiatives
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of quality family-centered care
- Develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and clients
