Equipment Breakdown Specialist

**About the Role**
We're seeking a highly skilled Equipment Breakdown Specialist to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation.
This is a hybrid role that can be based out of our Toronto or Mississauga office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of strategic product plans to achieve growth targets.
- Develop guidelines and authority statements to support performance and underwriting.
- Gather market intelligence by working with distribution, brokers, and customers to compare our product offering to the competition.
- Research technology-based solutions for pricing, underwriting, risk assessment, and loss mitigation opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to explore new growth and profitability opportunities through technical research and relationship building.
- Assist in portfolio management through governance best practices, profitability, and growth analysis.
- Perform technical underwriting audits.
- Communicate changes related to underwriting guidelines and new products.
- Provide underwriting training and lending expertise to colleagues and distribution underwriters.
Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Highly organized, with the ability to work towards goals while adapting to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to persuade and challenge others.
- Effective analytical, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines, including organizational and time management skills.
- Digital and data acumen, understanding how these two items can support and facilitate the customer and underwriters' experience.
- CIP is a must, and FCIP and/or CRM designation is an asset.
- Willing to travel on occasion.
- No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
