About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and applications to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on cloud platforms.
  2. Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security.
  3. Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
  4. Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
  5. Monitor cloud systems for performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  6. Respond to incidents or alerts and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
  7. Work with development teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure and applications are designed and deployed to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  8. Collaborate with internal solutions architects, vendor partners, other IT teams, stakeholders, and business units to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets their needs and requirements.
  9. Assist in the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  1. Hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Have 5+ years of professional experience in an IT role.
  3. Hold certification(s) in Azure cloud solution foundations.
  4. Have experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  5. Have experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, network, and security.
  6. Have experience with cloud-native application development, including the use of microservices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  7. Have a functional familiarity with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  8. Have a functional familiarity with infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization, and hosted services.
  9. Have a functional understanding of cloud-based automation and management tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
  10. Be familiar with cloud security and compliance best practices.
  11. Be familiar with monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based systems.
  12. Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  13. Have experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  14. Have good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  15. Be proficient in English and French both verbally and written.
