We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in the Labour & Delivery unit. This role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of perinatal care.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver advanced nursing care to expectant mothers by performing thorough assessments of both the client and fetus, while also attending to other assigned medical/surgical patients. Enhance the quality of life for clients and their families through compassionate care. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Commit to continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices in nursing. Maintain and develop your clinical skills and knowledge. Participate in hospital committees and approved research initiatives as required.Relocation assistance may be available. Nurses may qualify for Federal student loan forgiveness. Qualifications
Education & Experience
Active registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Completion of an accredited advanced nursing specialty program in perinatal nursing or two years of relevant experience.Knowledge & Skills
In-depth understanding of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered care model. Familiarity with BCCNM's standards for nursing practice. Proven ability to assess and respond to client needs effectively. Capacity to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with clients, families, and colleagues. Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to new staff and students. Proficient in clinical techniques and the use of relevant medical equipment. Demonstrated computer skills, including the use of electronic health records. Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.Closing Statement
