Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for the initiation and management of mechanical ventilation, as well as providing expert care in advanced airway management.
Responsibilities will include delivering and managing the administration of oxygen and other compressed gases, aerosolized medications, and high humidity therapies. You will also perform and interpret related pulmonary diagnostic testing, and work collaboratively with physicians to achieve optimal cardiorespiratory status for patients.
Additional duties may include patient or staff education sessions, and contributing to the development of respiratory care plans.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist who is a recent graduate or has a recognized degree in Respiratory Therapy. You must currently hold or be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists.
Hours & Locations- Permanent, temporary, and casual relief opportunities available in various locations throughout Nova Scotia
- Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Please specify your work hours and location preferences in the screening questions that follow
- $32.27 - $41.26 Hourly
- Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan
- Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance for a return of service commitment
