About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for the initiation and management of mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management in various areas of the institution. You will deliver and manage the administration of oxygen and other compressed gases, aerosolized medications, and high humidity therapies. Additionally, you will perform and interpret related pulmonary diagnostic testing.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to help achieve physician goals for patients' cardiorespiratory status. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating the effectiveness of respiratory care and airway management for patients.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who has recently graduated or is a graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy. You must currently hold or be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists.

Hours & Locations
  • Various permanent, assignments (temporary), and casual relief opportunities available in various locations throughout Nova Scotia
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation and Incentives
  • $41.26 Hourly
  • Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan
