Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Division, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Braidwood Tavern, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and driving revenue growth through innovative menu development and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, control, and direct the work of employees in the Food & Beverage Division, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Train, evaluate, lead, motivate, and coach staff to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
- Visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns, or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the F&B Departments to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
- Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for F&B outlets.
- The ability to work closely with F&B leadership to design effective menus and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
- Responsibility with employee scheduling proper and sufficient staffing while keeping labor standards.
- Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in other areas of the Resort.
- Create and nurture a Great Place to Work for All.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- At least 2 years previous experience in a supervisory or management level position in Food & Beverage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership & organizational skills required.
- Successful candidates must possess the ability to work in Canada.
