Compensation: $55.39 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours daily
Primary Worksite: CASA House

Role Responsibilities
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be integral to the CASA House program, which supports teenagers facing significant mental health and/or addiction challenges. The average duration of stay for teens is four months, and the program actively involves parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough bio-psycho-social assessments for assigned youth.
- Creating and executing treatment plans utilizing diverse therapeutic methodologies.
- Formulating diagnoses as necessary, employing the DSM V and other diagnostic instruments.
- Delivering therapeutic interventions aimed at helping clients achieve their mental health objectives through various age-appropriate treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy.
- Leading psycho-educational and therapeutic groups for both children and their caregivers.
- Managing case functions, including organizing case conferences and collaborating with community services and professionals involved with the child and family.
- Participating in intake and discharge processes.
- Preparing written discharge summaries.
- Enhancing staff understanding of discipline-specific matters.
- Advocating for the needs of children and families as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in psychology, social work (with a psycho-social intervention designation), occupational therapy, or nursing.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in child and family mental health and/or youth addiction services, with a preference for experience within educational settings.
- Current registration in good standing with a relevant professional college.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Employment Conditions
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, at the candidate's expense.
- A satisfactory Child Intervention Check.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a valid exemption.
- Ability to complete and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided), along with the physical capability to perform all necessary interventions.
