Automotive Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Mechanic Helper to join our team at 2871605 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our automotive services department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in the completion of tasks and projects.
- Move tools, equipment, and other materials as required.
- Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Perform tasks such as filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces to be repaired.
- Assist in the operation, repair, and maintenance of vehicles.
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure high-quality workmanship.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical demand. The work site will be noisy, dusty, and may involve exposure to odours.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Physical Demands: The successful candidate must be able to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) may be required.
- Efficient interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
- Initiative, organization, reliability, and a team player attitude are highly valued.
- Accurate and client-focused, with good judgement and decision-making skills.
- Permanent full-time position.
- 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Work Language: English.
