Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guest Services Supervisor to join our team at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. As a key member of our Guest Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our department, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of Guest Services staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to direct reports, ensuring effective allocation of tasks and responsibilities.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure clear communication and a complete understanding of objectives and activities.
  • Customer Service and Experience
    • Ensure a quality guest experience through the provision of services in all areas of the Guest Services Department.
    • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operational Management
    • Work closely with the Guest Services Manager to implement and maintain a Customer Service Strategy for all aspects of the department.
    • Collaborate with operational departments to ensure all guest accommodations and special needs are planned and executed accordingly.
  • Administrative and Reporting
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of employee time reporting and overtime in the time keeping system.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required by the Guest Services Manager.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 3+ years of hospitality experience and 1+ year hotel front desk experience.
    • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated experience in a team environment and advanced communication and coordination/organizational skills.
    • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Strong customer service skills and a customer-first attitude.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Special Requirements
    • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
