Event Supervisor Opportunity

Banff & Lake Louise Tourism is seeking a skilled Event Supervisor to lead our team of event staff during the Christmas and SnowDays events. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for empowering and supporting our event staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Events, to develop and execute the event plan, ensuring seamless logistics and effective execution.
  • Foster a positive and enjoyable on-site shift experience for event staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Deploy and supervise event staff to ensure effective execution of the event plan, ensuring all aspects of the event run smoothly.
  • Oversee event operations, including event staff shift rotation, daily site setup/teardown, guest registration, check-in, and special event activities.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient on-site surveying by event staff.
  • Provide regular reports to the Manager, Events, and third-party production contractors, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Stay informed about relevant destination information, such as other events, activities, or important information to share with event staff and guests.
  • Adhere to all Town of Banff and Parks Canada special event policies and permit requirements.
  • Report any challenges or concerns to the Manager, Events, with proposed or actioned solutions.
  • Act in the best interests of Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, upholding ethical and honest practices, and complying with company policies.

This is a seasonal opportunity, typically running from mid-November to early February, with flexible hours during the holiday and winter season. If you are a motivated and experienced event professional, we encourage you to apply.
