Job Title: Vice-President, Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice-President, Engineering to join our team at Simcoe Geoscience Limited.

Job Summary:

The Vice-President, Engineering will be responsible for leading our engineering team and overseeing the development and implementation of our engineering programs and policies. This is a key leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of engineering activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and other staff members.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation plans for engineering projects and activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, science, technology).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical expertise and knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
