Victoria, British Columbia, Canada The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Operations Coordinator to become a vital part of our Neuroradiology Department. In this role, you will collaborate with Senior Medical Secretaries to perform various tasks, including data management, communication, and both clinical and administrative typing. You will have the chance to receive training in e-record systems, the Radiology Information System (RIS), and the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). Your contributions will help ensure the efficient operation of our outpatient department, along with other general administrative responsibilities. You will also play a key role in managing a comprehensive appointment system for the spinal interventional service and provide essential secretarial support to the medical professionals within Neuroradiology.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly integrate with our existing team, demonstrate flexibility in supporting departmental functions, and possess a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality service to our patients.

While prior experience with RIS and e-record systems is advantageous, familiarity with medical terminology is not mandatory as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

On a daily basis, you will assist in the scheduling and management of the spinal intervention service within Neuroradiology, facilitating patient admissions for day cases and organizing their appointments. You will also engage with the value-based commissioning system for spinal interventions. Your responsibilities will include preparing imaging for multiple multidisciplinary team meetings, distributing radiology reports via email, and supporting senior medical secretaries. Collaboration with Consultant Neuroradiologists and Radiographers as part of a multidisciplinary team will be essential. Additionally, you will communicate with patients over the phone regularly, making excellent communication skills crucial. Maintaining a high standard of work and being adaptable to the service's needs will be key aspects of your role.
