AECOM Canada is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector specializing in Active Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
Key ResponsibilitiesThe role encompasses a variety of critical tasks, including:
- Utilizing experience and judgment to establish and achieve project objectives.
- Setting personal project timelines and ensuring adherence to them.
- Providing mentorship and training to new team members.
- Monitoring compliance with quality standards, performance metrics, specifications, and regulatory requirements through thorough inspection activities.
- Conducting daily site inspections and maintaining accurate inspection documentation.
- Engaging in punch list activities, testing, and system commissioning.
- Tracking progress related to quality assurance initiatives.
- Contributing to documentation processes for equipment and area handovers.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in highway or roadway construction, or a Technical Diploma with at least 8 years of experience.
- Certification in Construction and Maintenance Electrification or eligibility for certification in Ontario (309A), or possession of an Electronic Technician or Technologist Diploma.
- OACETT Registration as a Road Construction Senior Inspector or eligibility as a Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) is mandatory.
- A valid G Driving License and access to a personal vehicle.
- Experience with at least two (2) MTO/BCMOTI or municipal projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ideally, 12+ years of extensive experience in general highway construction.
- Significant familiarity with various ATMS/ITS software and roadside hardware.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and oversee staff during concurrent daytime and nighttime operations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
