Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

About the Role:
Traffic Tech is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join our Information Technology team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in defending our applications, networks, and systems against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IT team to proactively assess and enhance existing defenses against cyber threats.
- Leverage leading tools in the EDR, email security, data protection, and identity domains to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Primary tasks will include automation of tasks, monitoring of security posture, coordination of testing activities, coordination/triage of incident response, threat hunting, and reporting on the status of protection.
- Secondary tasks include management of and reporting on unauthorized/unmanaged assets and access attempts, instances of data loss/extraction, and suspicious activities.
- Complete detailed investigative reports outlining the key elements, evidence collected, findings, and recommendations regarding IT security investigations.
- Participate in the ongoing development of security governance and procedural artifacts.
- Participate in business, IT, and other initiatives where relevant/required.
Requirements:
- A strong client service orientation and a desire to help the business meet their objectives.
- Remain operationally current for all key and critical IT systems and networks to ensure investigations are necessary, core operational competencies and skills will improve, and ensure that the full range of potential root causes are explored without putting at risk the continued operation of the system or network.
