We are seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to be part of our dedicated Medical Device Reprocessing team.
The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician will be responsible for the meticulous decontamination, inspection, testing, assembly, packaging, wrapping, sterilization, and distribution of medical products that require reprocessing. This includes both simple and complex instruments, linens, and equipment utilized in patient care across various hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities
Execute tasks related to the thorough cleaning and preparation of surgical instruments and medical devices. Maintain cleanliness and organization in operating and labor delivery rooms by restocking shelves, cupboards, and carts in accordance with established protocols. Contribute insights regarding patient interactions to the multidisciplinary team. Carry out additional clerical responsibilities as required.Community Overview

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Completion of Grade 12, along with a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing course, and at least one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge & Skills
Familiarity with surgical and medical terminology. Strong mathematical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in operating related equipment. Physical capability to perform the duties associated with the position. Organizational skills to manage workload efficiently.Additional Information
Work hours, including days off and specific work areas, may be adjusted based on operational needs and applicable agreements. Successful candidates may need to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check.
