Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with constituents, community groups, and businesses to understand their priorities and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with constituents and community groups
  • Manage the Member's constituency agenda, including planning and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events
  • Brief the Member on key communications with constituents, including meeting agendas, news, and talking points
  • Draft correspondence to ministers and stakeholders
  • Manage, triage, and review the Member's emails and communications
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education from a recognized institution or an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience
  • Experience working in an office setting with a high volume of requests and conflicting priorities
  • Experience working with community partners, external stakeholders, or businesses
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with an ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of elected representatives of all levels of government and their respective responsibilities
  • Knowledge of the Canadian parliamentary system and federal political issues
