Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Second Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Second Cook, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Cook in preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Inventory Management: Assist in ordering and managing inventory of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Team Support: Assist the Head Cook in supervising kitchen staff and helpers, and provide training and guidance as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high-quality food and service standards are met.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
