Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new systems and processes to support our business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and document specifications for new systems, system enhancements or interfaces.
  • Work with IT and supply chain stakeholders to develop and implement programs.
  • Conduct training on related processes and procedures.
  • Review, recommend and implement enhancements / new systems required by business.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to supply chain policies and practices.
  • Initiate, develop and lead projects to control inventory and achieve inventory plan.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes, inventory and tools.
  • Strong process and application analysis, design and requirements definition.
  • Good project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong facilitation, teaching and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of adult education concepts and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management, production planning, scheduling, material requirements planning and manufacturing control systems.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in relevant business applications.
  • Good analytical and statistical skills.
  • Good negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadline.
  • Leads development and continuous improvements of inventory control processes.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Overnight travel may be required.

Typical Experience

  • Three to six years of relevant experience.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Materials Management, Engineering or Business), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Educational requirements may vary by geography.
