Position Summary

Are you a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional seeking to make a meaningful impact in Northern British Columbia? Northern Health Authority is searching for a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team of dedicated healthcare providers. In this role, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and support to individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based clinical tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and goals.
  • Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions, including individual counseling, group therapy, and family support.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and well-being, ensuring access to appropriate resources and services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all relevant ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body.
  • Demonstrated experience providing mental health services to diverse populations.
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
