Job Summary

JSI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our DevSecOps team, you will be responsible for implementing a solid security infrastructure, responding to critical security events, and designing, implementing, testing, and documenting software to meet required functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a robust security infrastructure to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, and develop strategies to prevent security breaches.
  • Develop and maintain software applications with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies, including code reviews, testing, and deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our platform remains secure and compliant.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on security.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, with a strong understanding of security vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies, with a strong desire to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security compliance and certification.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and regulations, such as NIST and HIPAA.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms, such as AWS and Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues.
