Job Title: Senior Security Engineer

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC) Signals Engineering team. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing research, detection, and protection against attacks on Microsoft and our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Accelerate our analysts' insights by building innovative analysis tooling run at cloud scale
  • Work with Threat Intelligence Analysts to maintain and improve their automated workflows
  • Forge new and improve existing partnerships that advance defenders' understanding of key threats
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection
  • 5+ years development experience with skills in a mix of C/C++, C#, and scripting languages (Python/PowerShell/JS)
  • Experience in testing, deploying, and supporting large real-time scale services on Azure, AWS, or similar environments
  • Knowledge of post-breach compromise domain including methods for reconnaissance, persistence, lateral movement, and data exfiltration across both on-premises and cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection
  • Proficient cross-group and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate the business need for security and technical improvements
