About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fuel Director to join our team at Circle K. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our fuel operations, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fuel margin plans to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee retail pricing strategies and execution to ensure consistency and discipline across all sites.
- Manage fuel supply relationships, including wholesale and retail contracts, to optimize pricing and profitability.
- Lead the development and implementation of fuel strategies, including market analysis, product distribution, and brand management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and optimize performance across all fuel-related initiatives.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of fuel professionals, providing coaching, training, and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to inform fuel pricing and supply chain decisions.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve fuel department overheads and control costs.
- Recommend capital improvements to enhance fuel site profitability and efficiency.
- Oversee the development and implementation of payment systems, including fleet card sales and administration.
- Manage day-to-day supply management, including inventory control and logistics.
- Lead the management of the SIR program and car wash operation to maximize profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, marketing, sciences, environmental studies, or engineering.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in fuel management, pricing, and supply chain operations.
- Proven track record of success in driving business growth, improving profitability, and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and aptitude to develop and understand other software tools.
- A current valid driver's license with a clean abstract is required to operate company vehicle.
- Ability to travel as required up to 30%.
