About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fuel Director to join our team at Circle K. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our fuel operations, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fuel margin plans to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee retail pricing strategies and execution to ensure consistency and discipline across all sites.
- Manage fuel supply relationships, including wholesale and retail contracts, to optimize pricing and profitability.
- Develop and manage fuel strategies, including product distribution, marketing, and loyalty programs.
- Lead a team of fuel professionals to advance internally and foster a learning environment with high performance expectations.
- Coordinate fuel objectives with other department initiatives to optimize performance.
- Anticipate opportunities to guide pricing and market strategies to increase fuel margin.
- Control fuel department overheads to budgeted levels.
- Recommend capital improvements to improve fuel contribution to store profitability.
- Develop and implement initiatives related to payment systems, including fleet card sales and administration.
- Manage day-to-day supply management and oversee the SIR program.
- Oversee the division's car wash operation and market strategies to maximize profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, marketing, sciences, environmental studies, or engineering.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in fuel management, pricing, and marketing.
- Advanced managerial and leadership skills, with the ability to manage product, price position, and TSSA compliance.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to drive all fuel-related projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and aptitude to develop and understand other software tools.
- A current valid driver's license with a clean abstract is required to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to travel up to 30% as required.
