Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Clinical Simulation Lab Duties:
    • Distributing instruments, equipment, and materials to students.
    • Organizing and preparing materials for upcoming instructional sessions.
    • Maintaining accurate inventory records and managing supply orders.
    • Collaborating with Course Directors to ensure the proper distribution of resources for classes and assessments.
    • Upholding cleanliness and organization within the lab, adhering to infection prevention and control standards.
    • Ensuring compliance with occupational safety regulations.
  • Patient Clinic Responsibilities:
    • Coordinating patient appointments and managing scheduling.
    • Updating and maintaining patient records in the database.
    • Assisting faculty and dental students during clinical procedures.
    • Implementing established protocols for cleaning and sterilizing equipment and facilities.
    • Providing safety training and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
    • Upholding the guidelines related to patient privacy and information protection.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program and certification as a Dental Assistant.
  • Experience in the dental field, encompassing a wide range of clinical practices.
  • Proficiency with dental materials and products.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
