About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Coordinator to join our team at American Iron and Metal. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Management: Ensure that all necessary resources are in place to perform planned work, including parts, labor, and shop space.
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and communicate the weekly maintenance plan, creating work orders as required to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Work Order Management: Ensure that open work orders meet required standards and status is kept up to date, managing the work order backlog to minimize delays.
  • Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, including service and PM status.
  • Job Planning: Prepare job plans for planned work, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with service technicians and mechanics to ensure timely servicing and repairs, prioritizing equipment service based on usage, condition, and criticality.
  • Resource Organization: Organize resources in advance to ensure efficient execution of planned work.
  • Reporting: Complete ad-hoc reports and projects as requested by management.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance, with a strong understanding of maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Maximo for data entry, as well as a working knowledge of planning tools (JD Edwards, SAP, MS Office Package, etc.) and scheduling tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
