About the Role

Oro Steel & Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to apprentices
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
