About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team at Revelstoke Steel Ltd. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for installing steel studs in various construction settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accurate measurements and installations.
  • Material Handling and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to install steel studs.
  • Site Coordination and Supervision: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, supervising other workers to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Cost Estimation and Material Management: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and material procurement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Work Setting: Construction, various locations, commercial, and residential settings.
  • Language: English.
