The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining managed security services and supporting cybersecurity practices within the Digital Shared Services environment in a complex 24x7x365 system critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and responding to security alerts as well as customer reported cybersecurity issues/concerns
  • Supporting Digital Shared Services cybersecurity incident response and vulnerability management practices
  • Ensuring managed security services are deployed and operating
  • Maintaining the security awareness program
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in enterprise information technology providing infrastructure support with a focus on one or more of the following areas: server virtualization, network management, security administration, information and event management, and log management
  • Diploma in information technology from an accredited postsecondary institution
  • Vendor and industry certifications in specific technologies and functions (such as CISSP, MCSE, CCNP, and ITIL) are assets
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and use of personal motor vehicle for occasional travel to urban centers within Manitoba
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, and COBIT
  • Familiarity with incident response and crisis management procedures is considered an asset
  • Good report-writing skills, detail-oriented, with a commitment to security best practice
Work Environment

Typical of working at a computer in an environmentally controlled office environment. Lifting and moving large computer equipment up to 50 lbs. On call rotation of evenings/weekends is required, some overtime as required.
